But I feel cheated, because of the length difference to Ultimate Flower and the things leading buyers to believe this game was much longer. Granted, it's still a nice game, lovely graphics, nice new twists, busy gameplay, and generally, I think 6,99 $ is a good price for a few hours of gaming.

I didn't buy it in the sale, so I paid the full 6.99 $. I actually didn't even wait the three days until I got my credit because I was so eager to play this game. Reading from the reviews, I wasn't the only one fooled by this big map.

In all TM games I know, the size of the map is an indicator of the levels to come. It would be going too far to say that this is a planned deception of the buyer, but I do wonder why they put in the big map, for example. In addition, the developers put in some things that lead to the assumption of it being a long game: the biiiiiiiiig map with so many potential locations, the new trader with many expensive things to sell, the storyline with its talk about exams, then international competition. I was always impressed by the length of Magic Farm - Ultimate Flower, so it was reasonable to assume that Magic Farm 2 is similar in length. This one time, I didn't do any of that! And why? Because I trusted the developer. Whenever I try a TM demo and am not sure how long it is, I read the reviews or even ask how long it is or try to find out on another website. I have no idea what so many others negatively are referring to by stating this game is too short! It does not seem short to me at all, and I'm one who hates short games. As you progress, some levels get more challenging, but nothing too difficult, yet still enjoyable. There are quests, side quests, HOG scenes, several characters, etc.

I'm currently on level 22, and I do not know how many levels in total there are, but it seems to be pretty decent in game length. Sometimes, as good as Demo plays are, they do not always give a true impression, especially in regards to the length of a game. So, I'm not sure what so many saying, by stating this is not a long game? It seems long so far. There are tons of quests, with some taking you to different locales. So far, all I can see & say, is that Magic Farm 2 is long in game play, despite only a couple of 'main' locations. So far, no technical glitches experienced on my PC. I can not compare it to the first one others are mentioning, as I never played any other like it. I'm not into the farming games too much, but this one is a winner! Really charming colorful graphics, cute story line, and plenty to do, to keep you busy.

Im hopeless at it and i found it tedious and a waste of the trial time. ANd btw - the HOG mini game aspect is a total put off for me.

Maybe i was apoiled by MKFTP3 which ive been playing all week. Its nice tho to see a sequel and as to whether i will buy the full version, i guess depends on my level of boredom and whether there are other games to buy. Im a creature of habit and this is not what i expected from magic farm 2. the information on-screen is also not as readily available at a glance as in the first version, you have to hover over the water thingi to see how much you have left, etc etc. I thought the pirate's were so handsome in the first version, but here, they're kinda.ugly? lol. the storyline is confusing and even the characters faces and dialogue is different. I found it so different from the first version. This one? No way.ĭobbiemijnboekje wrote:For the first time I tryed a TM game. But there was still all the bonus quests and such and it was game with more length than one had reason to expect. The regular gameplay ended at the garden with the ruins (the one that had Yetis as pests) once you had rescued Iris's parents.

I played the original "Magic Farm" BEFORE the Ultimate Flower update was released (and that was a LONG time ago). I would ask for a refund, but on the other hand I'd like to hang onto the game, see if the devs release an update. Where is adventure mode? I don't even have an option for that. During one of the loading screens, a tip reads, "In Adventure Mode, you play as one of the characters" (or something like that).

Plus it had, what, five different gardens? Here we've got two, with places on the map that look so obviously like they were put there for other gardens, but we just don't have them. The original Magic Farm: Ultimate Flower took forever to play ALL the way through, including the bonus missions. And I've played the Trials and it still stands: this game is WAY too short.
